I'm writing this review for those of you looking to update your pool. We had a pool installed about 20 years ago. What started out as just a replacement of an expansion joint, then became a little bit bigger of a project. We realized we should replace the cultured stone that had been eaten away by the saltwater pool. We also wanted to save our pebble tech since it was in good shape. We received two quotes both didn't feel they could save the pebble tech or wanted to maybe be a little more aggressive and try to get us to replace our pebble tech as well. Our third quote came from John at Sunset Builders and Design. John has been in the area for many years and a few of my close friends have used them in the past. I talked to my friends for the recommendation and John came out to look at the pool. He was the only one that felt he could save the pebble tech. His quote came in very fair and reasonable. We were able to save the pebble tech and John made a few other suggestions that really made the end result come together perfectly. One of the best things of working with John is his daily follow up. Not only does John come by daily, usually first thing in the morning, but he wraps up his day by creating a video of what took place that day and what is expected for the next. Something I'm not used to seeing with contractors today, but that kind of follow up is un-paralleled in his industry. I would highly recommend John and his company if you have any thoughts of wanting to update your pool.

Complete satisfaction. Professionalism? Top notch. Everything is communicated upfront and throughout the process as soon as changes happen. No fuss, no stress, and just be available to talk. John and his crew took care of everything. I'm typically very hands-on but I was very hands-off with this process because I had no doubt John could deliver on our agreed plan. When the outcome turned out to be better than your vision, you know you chose the right people to work for the job. This is a complete backyard and pool build for us. So if you're new to construction or you simply have fear around this type of project, save yourself the stress and hassle and go with John. You won't regret it. His high rating is yelp is not manufactured. If there's another star I will gladly give him that star. You'll get your money worth. He'll deliver and hopefully he can deliver over expectations like he did for us. Excellent company and excellent people to work with.
