Fastlane Swim Devices can be a great opportunity for people that want to swim in their backyard, but just don’t have the space for a full lap pool. We’ve installed several of these now, but I was especially excited by the last one that we installed. This is because Fastlane Swim Devices have a new pump mechanism, which is considerably quieter than in the past. Typically, the equipment is located far enough away that the noise is less of an issue, but in this case the equipment was close and rather annoying. (Listen Here)
I brought up the complaint to the Fastlane people and learned they designed a new pump mechanism that is significantly quieter. We replaced the old pump with the new one and it made a real difference. It was a challenging project we had to dismantle a lot of parts, and we had to use a puller to remove the pump from the motor. However, it went back together real smoothly and worked out excellently.
