HOUZZ is your “House”

At Sunset Designers & Builders we are constantly working to improve our skills in designing and building projects. We are also working to market our services in a constantly changing industry.

As many of you may know, I have an additional company, Omnibeat, that specializes in Social Media Marketing. There is no doubt that the Social Media platform which started as a showcase for contractors, architects and builders to share their work has evolved into a great platform named HOUZZ.

It has become more and more frequent for potential clients and clients in the design phase to share photos with me that they have retrieved off of HOUZZ. This really helps clients express aspects of design that they like. Typically jobs are custom designed so we are able to take pieces from multiple projects and compile them together to create a one-of-a-kind custom design.

This can also become very dangerous because the photos that clients find and love on HOUZZ are often significantly outside of their project budget. “Champagne Dreams on a Beer Budget.” Often it is a job to bring back clients into reality, yet overall the HOUZZ tool is very productive.
